Plymouth Gin, the oldest working gin distillery in England, stands as a testament to enduring quality and tradition. Since its establishment in 1793, Plymouth Gin has continued to craft its iconic spirit using the same time-honored recipe, ensuring that every bottle reflects over two centuries of expertise and heritage.
Set in a historic 500-year-old building, the distillery is more than just a place where gin is made; it’s a destination. The Refectory Bar and Cocktail Lounge, an integral part of the distillery, perfectly marries the past and present. Here, visitors can savor the latest gin trends alongside timeless classic serves, all within an ambiance that exudes historical charm.
The Project
In an effort to bring Plymouth Gin's storied brand and exquisite product offerings to a broader audience, I had the pleasure of working on comprehensive social media photography campaigns.
My responsibilities included carefully arranging Plymouth Gin bottles, glassware, and garnishes to highlight the brand’s sophistication and the craftsmanship of their cocktails. Using strategic lighting techniques, I enhanced the visual appeal of each shot, creating a mood that captures the essence of Plymouth Gin.
Capturing high-quality images that tell the story of Plymouth Gin’s legacy and its vibrant, contemporary relevance was key, and I ensured each image was meticulously edited to achieve the perfect balance of color, clarity, and allure, making them stand out on social media platforms. All photography had to follow branding styles and personality to ensure consistency across all mediums.
I was responsible for setting up photoshoots, sourcing props, styling, lighting, and overseeing all post-production processes, including editing, retouching, and color correction. Additionally, I ensured all files were correctly formatted for all social platforms, ensuring the images looked their best across different channels. This careful attention to detail ensured the final images truly reflected Plymouth Gin's refined image while engaging their audience across digital platforms.
